Where do I get a Pinewood Derby car Kit?

You can get them from the Pack. Ask your den leader or a leader at the pack meetings.

What kind of wheels and axels are allowed?

BSA solid wheels only.

Axels must be the nails that come with the kit. No solid axels.

Can I use a pre-carved kit?

No. The objective of the pinewood derby is for the scouts to build their cars, learn skills, and have fun.

Can I use or modify a previous car?

No. The objective of the pinewood derby is for the scouts to build their cars, learn skills, and have fun.

Scouts do not need to be at the event the entire time.

Scouts may not check their cars in before their rank registration times.

We recommend that scouts do not arrive until their rank registration time.
